Carousel

This is a new piece I have listed in my vintage shop. A brass carousel mobile. It winds up and plays a pretty little song, you can listen here:
I'm not sure of the tune, but the mobile IS maked "Aquarius". Maybe it's the hit 60's song from the musical "Hair"??? I guess it kind of sounds like that song, but it's hard to tell. Maybe someone else knows? I'd love to hear.
I love this piece though, too cute!

It's finished!

I've been working on this for a couple months now. Taking my merry old time. Always a great feeling when I finish. The satisfaction of a long thought out process finally takes form. I'd say approx 20 hours went into this one.

So without further adieu...
Proud to present...

Flowery Antlers Purse!!!

Hope you like.

Oldies but Goodies

Found some old treasures that I'm pretty in love with right now.

Mid Century 18"....I said 18" in diameter electric GE fan. Absolutely fantastic piece.

Hand done wood burning of a woman's profile. I found this in a pile of pictures at a thrift store. To my surprise when I turned it over it was signed and dated, " From Emma To Katie Dec. 25th, 1906 ".

You can find both these items for sale in my vintage shop right now. Just click on my vintage shop link to the right.

Till next time!

This Weeks Finds

A few of the vintage goodies I'll have available in my shop this week. My favorite has to be the military folder. A leather zip case that was used for a pilots navigation kit in the US Air Force. Too cool! And the last shot is my daughter hamming it up when I had my camera out. She sure does loves the camera!

Vintage Inspired - Reclaimed Wood

Check out my newest addition to the vintage shop! Handmade, vintage inspired wall sconces. Reminiscent of old barn wood, farmhouse decor. These are handmade from reclaimed cedar wood. I love the gray-brown color and weathered texture. So far the wall sconces are available in my shop. My husband and I (he's more the power tool guy so he's been helping out) are also in the works of some mason jar candle wall sconces too! And possibly some mason jar/reclaimed wood light fixtures. Lots-o-fun!

Crazy Cat Lady

It all started out with me joining in on arts and crafts time with my 2 year old. We were playing around with some sculpey clay. While she was making her little snowman, I started creating...crazy cat lady. I ended up getting pretty into this project and I finished her up by the next day! I already had everything I needed to make her packed away in my art room, so it worked out great. So here she is! Thought I'd share her with everyone. I'm pretty excited about how she turned out  =).

As for vintage finds these days...check out my vintage shop this week for cool new stuff!  I went to the mother load of all estate sales yesterday and picked up some really, really great things.

Happy Sunday!

This Week's Vintage Finds

Found some cool vintage this week! Especially excited about these little pretties.

We're headed to the auction house again tonight. Cross my fingers it's a good one! My husband and I went to our first auction a few weeks back, and it was sooo much fun!

Have a great Super Bowl weekend,
