New Year

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! My holiday was action packed to say the least.  As much as I love Christmas, I'm soooo glad that it's over. It was a super busy month for me. I'm now ready to say ... hello 2011!

After the first of the year I will be changing the look of my vintage shop a bit. Here's a peek of what you'll find:

Keep your eyes peeled for LOTS more vintage finds added regularly. Can't wait to show everyone!

I wish everyone a safe and happy new year filled with many adventures.

Cheers!

The Vintage Scrapbook

Recently I went to this amazing estate sale. The kind of estate sale where there was so much cool stuff, I had to come back two days in a row! One unique item I found was this old scrapbook.

Inside are magazine and newspaper clippings dating back to the 40's. Mostly wildlife. Birds, butterflies, farm animals. Some really gorgeous images! I will be framing some of these into vintage picture frames, and making available for you in my shop.

Here are a couple I have framed and ready. Super cute, huh?!!!

Hope you enjoy...Cheers!!!

Vintage Finds

Even though this weekend is the busiest shopping weekend of the year, and I usually avoid it like the plague being out amongst the crazy crowds...I just couldn't resist stopping at a few stores. One being my good friend, the thrift store. Good thing I did because I got some smokin' deals! Here's a preview of what I snagged up. These items will be for sale in my shop bdvintage.etsy.com over the the week or so. Enjoy!

Now I'm off to play in the mountain snow and chop down a Christmas tree! Whoo Hoo!!

Home Tour - My Cabin

Hey guys. This is my new blog dedicated to Home, Handmade, and Vintage. To kick things off I wanted to share a sneak peek tour of my home!
My husband and I purchased our home about a year and a half ago. It's a 1940's cabin with a large modern addition. The "new" and "old" of our home along with the wooded country setting gives us a place we have lots of  fun decorating.
Since moving in it's been an on going art project. A lot of  time spent searching for unique pieces to fill the place up ( this house is much larger than our last!) , deciding what DIY project to do next, and enjoying a place where we see ourselves spending years to come. We have a TON more things on our "to do" list for this place (like painting, and yard work!) , but look forward to the adventure .

I hope you enjoy peeking into my home. My plan is to share with you more home tours of others, vintage finds, handmade goodies, and all things that make you say...THAT'S PURTY!
Till next time,

- Becky D.
